FAQ

Joining our classes for the first time? Here is a list of what to wear, what to bring, and what you should know!

The studio location and where to park

We are currently using a music studio named Treble Arts.

When you arrive, look for Cellar Door. We are on the top floor above!

Street parking is available. At night, you can park on the roadside without any fines. You can also park at the road behind the row of shops.

It is quite safe at night as there are many cafes, restaurants, and bars open.

What to bring

There is NO drinking water available at the studio, so please remember to bring your own water bottles to stay hydrated!

What to wear (Latin Partner, Latin Solo)

If you are attending Latin dance classes, here is what you should wear:

Clothes: Dancewear advisable

For ladies, you can wear Latin practice dance tops, dance skirts, or dance dresses.

For men, you can wear Latin practice dance shirts and dance pants.

If you are attending classes for the first time and you don’t have dancewear, then you can wear any activewear, e.g. suitable for yoga or exercise. The clothes should allow you to move easily.

Shoes: Latin dance shoes, dance sneakers or dance flats

For ladies, high-heeled shoes are an option. However, these must be Latin dance shoes. Latin dance shoes for ladies are open-toed shoes with heel caps. You can choose to suitable heels, ranging from 1″ to 3″.

For men, you can wear the Latin dance shoes for men, which are closed toe shoes with laces.

Alternatively, if you have feet issues, you can wear dance sneakers which are usually used for jazz or line dancing; or dance flats which are usually used for jazz or ballet.

ALL SHOES MUST BE INDOOR SHOES ONLY.

NOT ALLOWED!

Beginners: If you don’t have any dance shoes, you can dance barefooted for the first few lessons. You can buy your dance shoes after you have decided to continue classes. Please check with the teacher before buying the shoes to make sure you have purchased suitable dance shoes.
