ABOUT FUEGO DANZ OASIS

Fuego Danz Oasis is a small dance school and company, made up of people who are passionate about dancing.

Fuego Danz Oasis is founded by Zyen, whose vision is to empower adults to achieve their dance dreams, especially those who do not have dance experience.

Unlike other studios, however, our team is not full-time. Many of our team members have full-time jobs or other commitments. We do not aim to be the best dancers, but rather, we aim to enable everyone to dance, whether for leisure or for personal achievement.

To empower adults to achieve their dance dreams, especially those who do not have dance experience, whether it is to compete, to perform, or to dance socially.

MISSION

To create a safe dancing space and community for adults to dance, through classes and events.

All studio classes have online or livestream options.

Latin Solo

Latin dancing without a partner! Our classes are designed for ladies only.

We have a range of Latin Solo classes, including beginner classes, choreography classes, as well as performance teams.

We cover various Latin styles, including Chacha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Salsa, Bachata and more!

Latin Partner

We offer beginner social level partner dancing where we focus on leading and following to empower students to be able to dance socially.

We will learn the common social dancing Latin styles: bachata, salsa, chacha and rumba.

ShimmyFitz

ShimmyFitz is a belly dance-inspired dance+workout, where we will learn dance techniques while shimmying away our calories!

It is a high intensity low impact workout, open to all to join.

Our Dance Teacher

Zyen is the teacher of the dance classes. She has been dancing for more than 18 years, and has been teaching for 7 years. She is a certified ISTD Latin Associate teacher and holds a GFit group fitness instructor certification.

Zyen used to compete in various local dance competitions and consistently won champion as well as top 3 in solo age categories for Latin Solo, line dance, and jazz dance, and was also finalist in belly dance. She was also part of a line dance champion team.

Currently, she is a full-time science/Physics teacher in a high school, and teaches dance as a freelancer and part-timer. She took on the challenge to teach dance as she wanted to spread the joy of dancing and performing.
